The Canadian government wants to make it even more difficult for the independent artist to succeed. By Shifting grants to the already established money makers, perhaps they feel that we will gain a stronger Arts and Culture bank account, however that sort of goes against my idea of Arts and Culture. We need to push the boundaries and pour our financial resources into discovering new and original artists, not afraid to show the world they have all they need to create an entirely unique sound and step up to redefining popular music for the whole world!
